The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Augmentin 500 mg/125 mg tablet in treating bacterial infections in pediatric patients. A total of 54 pediatric patients aged 2 to 11 years with various bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, gastrointestinal infections, and respiratory infections, and with various degrees of chronic kidney disease and liver disease, were enrolled in the study. Blood, urine, and oral swabs were collected during the treatment with Augmentin 500 mg/125 mg tablet. The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine, College of Medicine, University of the West ofify. Informed written consent was obtained from all subjects.Results

The primary outcome was the efficacy of the treatment with Augmentin 500 mg/125 mg tablet. The patients with bacterial infections had an efficacy rate of 62.5% for treating bacterial infections in children with different degrees of chronic kidney disease. For adults with different degrees of chronic kidney disease, the efficacy rate was 82.8% for treating bacterial infections in children with different degrees of chronic kidney disease. The study showed that Augmentin 500 mg/125 mg tablet had a similar efficacy rate to amoxicillin and tetracycline, and to amoxicillin and cephalothin.
